The Black Dahlia...

Dahlia 2009 Pinot Noir Reserve

My first pinot noir purchase was at the local Bevmo store and was on a whim. I perused the aisles looking for something interesting and relatively inexpensive. I found a beautiful simple bottle on sale for $20 dollars. The comments said strawberries and 93 point rating by Wilfred Wong. I was sold. I shared the bottle with a friend who was surprised by my choice and enjoyed it alot. So much that we drank 4 more bottles in the next month. I was so proud to have found a gem among the stockpile of generic standards.

Easy to drink, full of bright strawberries and rasberries with a slight note of sweet oak.
